Welcome to Izmir

        Smyrna is Izmir’s former name and the name used by the New Testament of the Bible when referring to it as one of the Seven Churches of Revelation. These days, a majority of the population are Turkish but they embrace outside influences with open arms and this is seen in the dress style of locals as well as eating and watering holes and modern shopping malls with western brand names. The area is comprised of the main city centre and smaller coastal towns., the frontier and sunshine city of Turkey. Izmir, with its 8,500 years of history, is gloriously situated on the western edge of Turkey, the bountiful, the fruitful and the beautiful. Izmir, the city of olives, figs and grapes, the land of the natural, organic and fresh. The beautiful Izmir, which offers visitors many options for a unique holiday experience, pulls you into a world of picturesque modernity and traditions, with its refreshing touches to the human souls.
